Rachel is a DPhil (PhD) student passionate about strategic groundwater resource management, environmental resilience and a catchment/ system approach. Supervised by Professor Jim Hall, and funded by the EPSRC and Thames Water, she aims to explore the role of groundwater to enhance the resilience and robustness of water resource systems and the wider environment under climate change. Working in collaboration with Water Resources South East (WRSE), her research takes a regional approach focusing on the south-east of England.

Rachel holds a BSc in Geophysics from Imperial College London, and an MSc in Hydrogeology from the University of Birmingham. She also has several years’ experience working as a hydrogeologist across a variety of projects within engineering and environmental consultancy.
