Razi Sheikholeslami is a postdoctoral raesearch associate in Hydrology and Agriculture at the University of Oxford’s School of Geography and the Environment. His research strives to answer fundamental water and sustainability-related questions using applied mathematical modelling with a broad range of statistical and analytical tools. Dr. Sheikholeslami’s research vision is built upon spending years in the field of quantitative modelling and analysis of the environmental systems along with uncertainty quantification, sensitivity analysis, and applied machine learning, which come together under the umbrella of ‘systems analysis’. Amongst various distinctions, Dr. Sheikholeslami was awarded the Best Doctoral Thesis Award in Water Security Research from Global Institute for Water Security (GIWS) in 2021. He also received Elsevier’s “Outstanding Reviewer Award” for three journals, including Environmental Modelling & Software (2018), Journal of Hydrology (2017), and Applied Mathematical Modelling (2017).
